In celebration of the first road built exclusively for the automobile, my favorite co-author Al Velocci and I will present tonight a then and now review of the North Hempstead section of the historic Long Island Motor Parkway including; the villages of Lake Success, Manhasset Hills, Searingtown, Williston Park, East Williston, Carle Place and Mineola.

The presentation will be held at the Clark Botanic Garden, 193 I.U. Willets Road, Albertson from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
As a special feature (weather permitting), the 1909 Alco Black Beast, winner of the 1909 and 1910 Vanderbilt Cup Races held on the Motor Parkway will be on display beginning at 7:30 PM.
Come join us at the Clark Botanic Garden and discover the connection between the Garden and the Parkway. It promises to be an exciting evening for fans of Long Island automotive and North Hempstead history.
