New Pastor Named to Corpus Christi Church
Msgr. Robert Batule to be new pastor of Mineola parish.
Parishioners of Corpus Christi Church in Mineola will be getting a familiar face for their new pastor: Msgr. RObert Batule, a former priest of the parish.
Batule was recently named as the successor to Bishop Robert Coyle, who was named as the auxiliary head of the Archdiocese of the Military and ordained last month in a ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Batule, 54, is a native of Merrick and has served as a priest since 1985. He previously served as a priest at Corpus Christi from 1993-2002 and prior to that at St. Boniface in Elmont. He is a graduate of Cathedral College in Douglastown and St. Pius X primary school.
He is expected to be installed as pastor sometime in the fall following Labor Day.
