Christopher James Gannon of Mineola passed away on Jan. 23, 2013 at the age of 93.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rita and sons, Christopher and Robert. He was the husband of Ann (Ward); father of Diane (Mark) Fakelmann and Joan Kelly; grandfather of Krista (Paul) Bowden, Jill (Brian) Pope, Kerrie (Sean) Turner, Kelly Venci, Nicholas (Allison) Gannon, Christopher, Michael and Kevin Kelly; great-grandfater of 12; brother-in-law of Msgr. George P. Graham.
Gannon was also a member of VFW Albertson Post 5253, Knights of Columbus Corpus Christi Council #2502, Mineola Leisure Club and Golden Age Club.
A wake was held on Friday at the Cassidy Funeral Home in Mineola. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday at Corpus Christi Church with interment at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury.
