Donna Castano, a former Mineola resident, passed away after a nine month battle with cancer on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ.
She was an avid animal lover who opened her heart and home to several cats and dogs in need.
Donna was predeceased by her father, James and brother, Jimmy (Watson). She is survived by her son, Joseph and mother, Dorothy Watson as well as her nieces, Siobhan and Hannah and her many cousins and friends. She was born in Mineola, NY and has been a Jersey resident since 1972.
A memorial gathering was held on December 29 at the Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals at 412 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation in Donna’s name.
