Elizabeth Ann Printz Freeman, 56

Former Mineola resident passed away on Jan. 15, 2014.

Elizabeth Ann Printz Freeman passed away on Jan. 15, 2014, in New York Presbyterian Hospital at the age of 56.

Born in Mineola, NY, Liz graduated from Bradley University, after which she worked in New York, and then in Chicago, where she met her husband, Steve. After their marriage in 1989, they lived in Trout Valley, IL, before settling in Mendham, NJ, where they have lived since 1995.

Liz was active in the Mendham Township Home School Association and her Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Most importantly, Liz was dedicated to her family and friends; she was involved with her daughter's school and athletic events, trips to the city, Friday evenings at the Pub, and treasured weeks at the ocean in the Outer Banks.

Liz was a woman of amazing spirit, touching the lives of so many. Her laughter was ready and wide. She was gentle in her counsel to and concern for others. She was ever present and giving. She was focused and fierce in her love and protection for her family. She met her challenges with strength and grace. She brought out the best in others. She simply sparkled.

Liz was at peace in great measure due to the ongoing, committed support of close friends, family, and caregivers. Survivors include her husband, Steven Freeman of Mendham; one daughter, Aimee Freeman, at home; two stepsons, Jonathan and Matthew Freeman of Janesville, Wis.; her mother, Irene Printz of West Windsor, N.J., and two brothers, Stephen Printz of Newtown, PA, and Michael Printz of Westport, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A wake was held onJan. 19 at the Bailey Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Hilltop Presbyterian Church. Interment is at Hilltop Cemetery.

For those desiring, donations to the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center, 475 South St., Morristown, N.J. 07960, in her memory, would be appreciated.
