Henry Dermigny, 82, Former Mineola Fire Department Member

Henry Dermigny of Jamesport passed away on Jan. 21, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson at the age of 82.

He was born on Dec. 15, 1930 in Hempstead to Henry and Anne Dermigny. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Village of Mineola and was a member of the Mineola Fire Department, the Rocky Point Fire Department and the Jamesport Fire Department. His father was a former chief of the Mineola Fire Department in Company No. 3.

He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, in 2005 and is survived by many friends.

A wake was held at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home on Jan. 23. A funeral Mass was held on Jan 24. at St. Isidore’s RC Church with interment at Nassau Knolls Cemetery.

Donations may be made in his honor to the Multiple Mylenoma Foundation, the Good Shepherd Hospice or Firemen’s Home on the Hudson.
