Lillian (Pat) Kalberer, a long-time resident of Mineola, passed away at her home in New Hyde Park on Dec. 12, 2012 at the age of 83.
She had been a devoted employee of the Mineola School District for over 20 years.
Kalberer was the wife of the late Arthur Kalberer and they were married for 62 years.
She is survived by her son Keith and his wife Jane, Steven and his wife Stephanie, Douglas and his wife Maureen, Susan Kalberer, Scott and his wife Lorraine, Richard and his wife Marie and Diane Lenze and her husband Jack. She was the grandmother of 18 and Great Grandmother of 8. Kalberer is also survived by her first cousin, Gig Nici, whom she cherished as a sister.
A wake was held at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home with a religious service on December 14 and a private service for the family on December 15. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, 267-07 76th Avenue New Hyde Park, NY 11040.
