Born in Brooklyn, New York, Marjorie married her high school sweetheart, Louis V. Gerstner, Sr. and had four sons. They settled down in Mineola, New York, where she dedicated her life to her family and worked tirelessly to help her sons achieve great success in their lives.
In her later years she moved to Connecticut and took great pride and pleasure spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marjorie is predeceased by her husband, Louis V. Gerstner, Sr., her two sons, Richard and James, and her two grandchildren, Cynthia and Louis, III.
She is survived by her sons, Louis Jr. and Joseph, as well as her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Patricia, David, Carolyn, James and Greg. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Sarah, Olivia, Grace, Jalen, Laila, Lincoln, Connor, Tyler, Alison, Jane and Kate.
She was a strong, proud woman who will be missed every day.
Calling hours will be held at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street in Stamford on Monday August 26 from 9:00am-10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday August 26 at 11 am at St. Leo's Church 24 Roxbury Rd in Stamford. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
