Mary Zoffranieri, Mineola Fire Department Secretary

Former Mineola Fire Department secretary passed away on Jan. 7, 2013.

Mary Zoffranieri, a former Mineola Fire Department secretary and former village resident, recently passed away on Jan. 7, 2013 after battling lung cancer for the past two years.

Zoffranieri was the department’s secretary for 10 years until the illness that would claim her life forced her to retire.

All the fire department family came to know her not only as the department secretary but as a person who had passionate affection for the Mineola Fire Department.

She took great pleasure in going out of her way for anybody who needed help. If someone was having a bad day Mary could cheer them up with a joke or just her caring friendly personality would lighten the day.

She is survived by her husband Joe, daughter Marissa, sons Adam and Joseph.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
