Feeding Station at Christopher Morley Park and Other Resources

Nassau Legis. Richard Nicolello updates residents with resources after Hurricane Sandy.

Volunteers from the Nassau County Red Cross have opened a “Feeding Station” at Christopher Morley Park.

The park located at 500 Searingtown Road in Roslyn will be serving lunch and dinner meals continuously from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the storm recovery. For more information, please call the Nassau County Chapter of the Red Cross at 516-747-3500.

Residents with non-life threatening emergencies, such as sewage backup, should dial 1-888-684-4274. All those with life threatening emergencies should dial 911. For more information on the Conserve Water Order, please visit the Nassau County Health Department website

For more information on storm preparation, please visit www.nassaucountyny.gov/hurricane

If residents have LIPA related electrical concerns, please call LIPA’s customer hotline at 1- 800-490-0075. Please note that LIPA is experiencing a high volume of calls and that system outages continue to be restored. Please also visit LIPA’s service outage map to track outages and restorations in your area.

As always, feel free to contact me with any thoughts and ideas you have for the county or any particular issue where I may be of assistance. My telephone number is 516-571-6209.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
