Rosh Hashanah is an opportunity for families to look back in reflection and look forward with anticipation, and I join my neighbors across Nassau County in observing this celebration of the Jewish New Year.
With the recent volatility across the Middle East and Israel’s security under constant threat, it’s more important than ever that Americans unite with our closest and most important ally in the region.
The celebration of the Jewish New Year reminds us of our shared values of peace, prosperity, and justice. I hope that this time reminds the nation of our responsibility to protect our friends and our own citizens here at home and abroad.
Through these moments of shared joy and shared struggle, the bond between America and Israel becomes stronger than ever. L’shana tova – wishing a happy and sweet New Year to all my friends and neighbors this Rosh Hashanah!
