Question of the Day: Extended Parking Meter Times

Business owners are excited about the possibility. What about you?

The  board is leaning toward extending meter times in certain areas of the town after agreeing to carry out the extensions in the Port Washington Public Parking District, making meter times go to two hours from one hour.

If the measure expands to other areas, that means you could enjoy a long lunch with a friend or client, or stroll along Main Street without fretting so much over feeding the meeter.

 the possibility.

While the village controls the time of meters locally, we want to know if you favor extending the time for parking on village streets or do you think that there is too much allowable and think people should be kept moving because others cannot find a space to park.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
