Ra Announces Legislative Youth Advisory Council

Council will be made up of 16-18 year-old students from 19th Assembly District.

As the elected state representative of the 19th Assembly District of New York, it gives me great pleasure to invite students to participate in my Legislative Youth Advisory Council.

The council will be made up of 16-18 year-old students who are residents of my distinct and will be tasked advising me on issues and legislation that are important to our youth as well as help draft letters and legislative reports supporting their stance. They will also be asked to reach out to other youth and community organizations.

The Legislative Youth Advisory Council (or LYAC) will meet three to six times per year and members are also encouraged to participate in Council conference calls.

To receive a copy of an application please call my office at 516-437-5577 or email AssemblymanEdRaLYAC@gmail.com. The application must be postmarked by Feb. 15, 2013 to be considered for appointment.

I am sure that this will be a memorable experience for all of the students involved. As always should you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact my office directly. For more information, please visit www.facebook.com/AssemblymanEdRaLYAC.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
