Clark Elected New Chief of Mineola Fire Department

16-year member of department elected as new chief.

The Mineola Fire Department has a new chief in Jeffrey Clark, who was recently elected as the new head of the department on Friday night.

Current chief Joseph Pratt was elected as 1st assistant chief while Brian Santosus will serve as second assistant chief.

Clark has served as a member of the department for the past 16 years. He previously served as lieutenant for four years and as captain from 2007-09. He was named as second assistant chief in July 2009 and has until his election to chief of department, served as first assistant chief.

Clark was honored with the 2011 Town of Hempstead Firematic Award and also serves on the department’s grant committee to secure funding for fire equipment.

Professionally, Clark is an employee of Cablevision, serving as director of government affairs.

The department will hold its installation ceremonies on Monday night at the fire department headquarters.
