Crime Blotter: Attempted Robberies
Third Precinct police responded to the following calls Jan. 27 – Feb. 15 in Mineola.
Feb. 4: the on Jericho Turnpike was the scene of an attempted robbery. The suspect attempted to withdraw funds but gave a different ID than the date of birth listed on the account. The suspect fled on foot and the bank suffered no loss.
Feb. 6: a residence was burglarized but there was no loss. Upon being seen by the victim, the thief fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
