Crime Blotter: Bar Broken Into, Assault with a Plastic Bottle

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls Nov. 2– Nov. 18 in Mineola.

Oct. 23 – Nov. 1: The residence at 6 Birchwood Court was burglarized. Jewelry was reported missing.

Nov. 5: Copper piping was removed from behind the bar of a vacant restaurant on Willis Avenue between 12-2:00 p.m. A 2x4 hole was found cut into the front door to gain entry.

Nov. 7: An unknown amount of merchandise was stolen by a shoplifter from 410 Jericho Turnpike around 2:50 p.m.

Nov. 12: A pocketbook with creditcards was reported stolen from a workplace at 393 Jericho Turnpike.

Oct. 31 – Nov. 12: A diamond ring was reported stolen from 314 Saville Rd.

Nov. 16: The front glass door of a business on Jericho Turnpike was found broken around 10:10 p.m.

Nov. 17: Police arrested a 26-year-old black male from Minnesota on Colonial Avenue who allegedly punched his sister and struck her with a plastic bottle.
