Crime Blotter: Oct. 22 – 27

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls Oct. 22 – 27 in Mineola.

Oct. 22: an unknown amount of money was stolen from the TD Bank at 540 Jericho Turnpike at about 11:50 a.m.

Oct. 24-25: lotto tickets, cigarettes and Metro Cards were stolen from a Main Street business between 2:00 p.m. and 6:40 a.m. Fingerprints recovered at the scene indicate a pattern related to other such robberies in the area.

Oct. 25: an arrest was made on Evelyn Road at 12:20 p.m. after the suspect allegedly hit the victim with a spoon causing injuries.

Oct. 25: an arrest was made on Andrews Road around 6:00 p.m. after a vehicle was approached by a suspect who allegedly reached into an underage victim's pocket and removed $100. The arrestee reportedly stated "what are you going to do little kid, you just got robbed" before fleeing into a house.

Oct. 25: an unknown amount of money was stolen from 259 First Street over the period of July 2 – September 25 by an employee.

Oct. 26-27: a 2008 Honda parked on Westbury Avenue had its four tires and rims removed between 7:00 p.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Oct. 26-27: a 2000 Acura parked on Liberty Avenue had its four tires and rims removed between 11:00 p.m. and 8:40 a.m.

Oct. 27: a Main Street business had its window damaged around 11:00 p.m.
