Crime Blotter: Stolen Jewelry, Severed Fingers

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls Dec. 23 – Jan. 4 in Mineola.

Dec. 22: jewelry was reported stolen from a home on Nassau Boulevard at around 2:30 p.m.

Dec. 27: Third Precinct police aided a 34-year-old Mineola resident who severed two fingers on his left hand while attempting to fix his snow blower. The man was taken to and underwent surgery to reattach the two digits.
