Nassau County Police arrested a Greenvale doctor on drug and prescription forgery charges Monday after finding a horde of pills and prescription sheets in his parked car.

Dr. Edmond Hakimi, 32, is charged with three counts of second-degree forgery and seven counts seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after a search of his 2013 Jeep yielded a number of pills. Read the full story here.

Cops: Two Arrested in Oxy Bust

Two people were arrested in Great Neck Wednesday after posing as medical workers seeking to fill an Oxycodone prescription, Nassau County Police said.

Man Beaten, Mugged by Group of 8 in Inwood

A group of eight men on Friday beat a 47-year-old man and stole his phone and work bag in Inwood, police said.

On Aug. 30 at 10:27 p.m., the male victim was walking on Monroe Street when he two unknown male black subjects approached him. One subject, who was wearing a white shirt, asked for the time. The victim took out his phone, and saw the other man, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, on a bike and stopping in front of him with the six other men. Read the full story here.

Arrest in Connection with Bellmore LIRR Death

A 34-year-old man was arrested for his role in an assault at the Bellmore Long Island Rail Road Station that led to the death of a 49-year-old Freeport man, LIRR officials said. 

The suspect, Niheim Levy of Roosevelt, is being charged with felony murder and first-degree robbery for his role in the incident. Read the full story here.
