Crimes Nearby: Drowning, Police Car Collision, Stolen Lotto Ticket

The following arrest information was supplied by several local police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

New Hyde Park

A 51-year-old man Thursday. CPR was performed on him in the backyard and he was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Garden City

A Nassau County near the at the intersection of Court House Drive and County Seat Drive Friday. A spokesperson for the Nassau County Police said that one minor injury was reported.

Two women were arrested Thursday after and claiming it at the New York State Lottery office in Garden City.

On August 7 Garden City Police for DWI after refusing a breath test. The car in which he was driving reportedly had extensive front end damage, with smoke coming out of the engine compartment, driving erratically on several streets in Garden City. The vehicle was also observed by police driving at 70 mph and passing a red light.

Prince Umberto’s on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square was burglarized overnight on August 2-3.

Numerous cars were stolen between August 1-4, including from the driveways of several homes and the parking lots of the Green Acres Mall.

On August 5, a car was stolen in Elmont after the driver of the vehicle left it running while inside a store on Hempstead Turnpike.
