Westbury

A motorcycle accident occurred on March 17 at 2:09 p.m. in front of Hicks Nursery at 100 Jericho Turnpike. The motorcycle rider was down with reported trauma.

Hicksville

An overturned car was reported on Duffy Avenue and Combes Avenue on March 17 at about 8:05 a.m. Police on scene reported that there was no pin.

A two-car motor vehicle accident occurred on Newbridge Road and Duffy Avenue on March 19 at about 6:57 a.m. causing traffic delays. No pin occurred but the Hicksville Fire Department transported a victim.

A carjacking of a black Toyota Camry occurred at 219 Ohio St at 12:14 p.m. on March 20. Units pursued the vehicle on Jerusalem Avenue and Merrick Avenue until it crashed.

A Staten Island man was arrested for allegedly trying to extort money from a New Hyde Park woman holing her adult daughter against her will for ransom. Nassau County Police arrested Rudy Santana, 30, for trying to extort $2,000 from the 62-year-old victim, who previously sent him $100 on March 19.

Lake Success

A two-car accident occurred on the Northern State Parkway in the westbound lanes on March 22 at 7:21 a.m. The accident occurred near exit 25 taking out two lanes.

An old stick of dynamite was located on March 16 at a Stewart Avenue residence being renovated. The situation was monitored by the police and fire departments until it was removed from the area by the NCPD Bomb Squad.

Malverne-West Hempstead

A burglary was , located on New Hyde Park Road, between March 15 and March 16.

New York State Police arrested three Long Island Men, including two from West Hempstead who were allegedly in . Dwayne M. Mills, 49, and Anthony S. Mills, 47, both of West Hempstead, and Damel D. Pruitt, 28, of Central Islip, were arrested on March 19 during a traffic stop and were found to be in possession of $2,500 worth of merchandise from the CVS drug stores in Stony Point, Garnerville and New City.
