Crimes Nearby: Ex-Islander GM Assault, DWI Snooze and Skylight Fall

The following arrest information was supplied by several local police departments. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate convictions.

Old Westbury

A worker on the roof of a structure at 19 Grace Drive fell 15 feet through a skylight Friday at about 3:31 p.m. The subject was treated on scene before being transported by Nassau County ambulance before being transported via helicopter to Nassau University Medical Center.

Former Garden City resident and New York Islanders general manager Mike Milbury was at a Pee Wee hockey game last weekend in Brookline, MA. According to reports, Milbury's son was involved in an argument with another player when Milbury got on the ice, then yelled and shook the other player.

On December 14 officers observed a vehicle stopped on Clinton Road within the intersection of Commercial Avenue. A female 51-year-old was seen from Garden City, was sleeping with the car in gear, the engine running and her foot was on the brake. The driver was placed under arrest for DWI (.13 percent blood alcohol content).

A 21-year-old Uniondale man was arrested for grand larceny, identity theft and two counts of forgery on December 8. The subject was wanted in connection with two other subjects already arrested on December 3 for the use of forged credit cards to purchase $7,000 in gift cards at Lord & Taylor. The subject was arrested as he was reporting to his probation officer in Mineola on an unrelated matter.
