The Long Beach Police Department told Patch that a 16-year-old male intentionally pushed a Long Beach woman, described in age as in her 50s, and caused her to fall backward and strike her head on the ground at Washington Boulevard boardwalk at about 9:40 p.m. Nov. 2. Man Arrested for Impersonating Fire Marshal, Cop

Garden City detectives said that Christopher Charles of Merrick, who owns a fire restoration business, said he was a fire marshal when he met a victim whose home in Garden City caught fireon Oct. 31. Cops: West Hempstead Man Impersonated Police

Nassau detectives say that a woman victim, 43, was driving on Grace Avenue near Gilchrest Avenue when she heard honking and noticed a dark vehicle tailgaiting hers.  The woman pulled to the side on Stoner Avenue when the driver of the tailgaiting vehicle cut in front of her, preventing her from pulling away. Click here to read the full story.
