A police car was involved in a motor vehicle accident with an unknown number of vehicles on the Northern State Parkway on Thursday, January 5 at about 7:40 a.m. Nassau County Police responded to the scene. Any injuries were unknown at the time.

Garden City detectives arrested a male 41-year-old from East Norwich for the theft of jewelry valued at more than $2,600 from a Garden City residence on Dec. 14. The subject was a contractor doing construction work at the residence.

Garden City detectives were informed by that a 31-year-old male from Hempstead, had just dropped off an apparent forged prescription form for 120 Oxycodone pills on January 3. When the subject returned to pick up the prescription, he was arrested and charged with attempted possession of a controlled substance and possession of a forged instrument. 

Malverne-West Hempstead

firefighters had to from his vehicle Friday after it collided with a van outside . at 11 a.m. The male driver was treated for head and neck injuries by Nassau County EMS. No serious injuries were reported.

A West Hempstead teen was and driving while under the influence after a serious car accident in Hempstead Wednesday night. The collision caused the car to then strike a utility pole and flip over, ejecting Araya and his 23-year-old male front passenger into the roadway, police said. Both individuals were unconscious and transported to for serious physical injuries.
