Mineola firefighters responded to the following calls January 26 – February 1.

The following information was supplied by the Mineola Fire Department. A call does not necessarily indicate that a fire actually took place, only that an alarm or call for assistance was made.

January 26

  • 11:46 a.m. – 230 Jericho Turnpike (Friendly’s)
  • 4:20 p.m. – 200 Old Country Road (The Pavillion)
  • 8:29 p.m. – 18 Liberty Ave.

January 27: 4:30 p.m. – 500 Jericho Turnpike

January 29: 3:51 a.m. – 148 Beebe Road – carbon dioxide

January 30

  • 7:55 p.m. – 352 Burkhard Ave.
  • 9:51 p.m. – 39 Mineola Blvd. (Raines Apartments
  • 11:38 p.m. – Willis Avenue and Jackson Avenue – downed wire

January 31

  • 3:19 a.m. – 407 Burkhard Ave. – downed wires
  • 4:11 a.m. – 111 Willis Ave. (Salvation Army)

February 1: 11:03 a.m. – 190 First St. (Boulevard Towers)

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
