Gas Station Bandit Robs Citgo in Mineola

Police believe suspect is same man wanted for string of station robberies in Nassau.

The Nassau gas station bandit has struck again, this time robbing the Citgo Gas station at 2 Jericho Turnpike in Mineola early Sunday morning.

According to Robbery Squad detectives, at about 4:10 a.m., a 24 year old male victim working at the station was approached by a male black subject dressed in all black.

The subject then displayed a black hand gun and demanded money from the register. The victim complied and the subject fled on foot east on Jericho Turnpike with an undetermined amount of US currency and cigarettes.

The subject is described as being a light skinned, 5’8” tall, 25 to 30 years of age. There were no injuries reported.

Police believe that the suspect is the same one who robbed two stations – one in West Hempstead and another in Garden City Park – on March 26, as well as locations in Hicksville, Levittown and Farmingdale.
