Hillside Avenue Capital One Bank Robbed

Thief made off with unknown amount of cash Friday afternoon.

The Capital One Bank on Hillside Avenue in Williston Park was robbed Friday afternoon by a thief who threatened use of a gun.

According to Nassau County detectives, a male subject entered the Capital One Bank at 422 Hillside Ave. at about at 5:25 p.m., approached a teller and presented a robbery demand note which threatened the use of a gun.

The teller handed over an undetermined amount of cash to the thief who then fled on foot eastbound on Hillside Avenue. There were five employees and three customers present in the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

The subject is described as a male white approximately 30 years of age, 5’9” tall, thin build, light complexion, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and sunglasses.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
