Man Robbed at Mineola Train Station Tuesday

Police searching for suspect who stole money from man after using ATM.

Nassau County Police are searching for a suspect involved in a robbery of a 30-year old man at the Mineola Train Station on December 4 at 5 p.m.

According to detectives the male victim was approached by a black male after he had used the ATM machine at the train station. The suspect asked the victim for money, with the victim handing over $10.

The suspect then demanded more money from the victim and pushed the victim to the ground when he refused. The victim then gave the suspect $40.00 more and believes he was observed by suspect taking money from the ATM.

The suspect then fled in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as 5’10” tall, in his mid to late 20’s with braids or corn rows in his hair, wearing a black hat, black jeans and a black and gray jacket.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
