Mineola Crime Blotter: Stolen Catalytic Converters, Safe and Heroin Arrest

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls November 26 – December 2 in Mineola.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Mineola


Nov. 24: A catalytic converter was stolen from a location on Marcellus Road between 9 p.m. on Nov. 24 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 26.
Nov. 25:
A catalytic converter and sensor were stolen from a location on Wardwell Avenue between 8 p.m. on Nov. 25 and 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 26.
Nov. 30: 
A person was arrested on Willis Avenue at 5:10 p.m. after being found in possession of four clear bags containing heroin.

Williston Park


Nov. 27: A stormdoor was found damaged at a home on Burkhard Avenue at 9:40 p.m.
Nov. 29: A wallet containing credit cards and a social security card was stolen from a location on Hillside Avenue between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Garden City Park


Nov. 27: A catalytic converter was stolen from a location on Bretton Road between 8 a.m. on Nov. 25 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 27.

New Hyde Park


Nov. 27: A safe containing social security cards, birth certificates, diamond earrings, an engagement ring and a diamond necklace was stolen from a home on Jeffrey Place in North New Hyde Park between 9 a.m. on Nov. 10 and 8 p.m. on Nov. 27.
Nov. 27: A cell phone was stolen at 1111 Marcus Ave. at 3 a.m.
Nov. 29: Assorted merchandise was reported stolen from the Sears on Union Turnpike in North New Hyde Park at 11:53 a.m.
Dec. 1: A black wallet containing an ID, credit cards and cash was stolen from 1111 Marcus Ave. between 7:15 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Herricks


Nov. 26: A catalytic converter was stolen from a location on Irwin Street between 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 25 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 26.
