Mineola Crime Blotter: Stolen Merchandise and Laptop

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls December 3 – 9 in Mineola.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.


Mineola


Dec. 3: An unknown amount of cash was stolen from 272 Old Country Road at 7:27 a.m.
Dec. 4: A backpack with bottles of water and a screwdriver were reported stolen from a location on East Jericho Turnpike at 10 a.m.
Dec. 4: A women's cream-colored pull-over sweater was stolen from a box delivered to a home on Bauer Place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Dec. 5: A laptop computer was reported stolen from an office on Mineola Boulevard between 5 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 5.
Dec. 8: A cell phone and GPS were stolen from a location on Greentree Road between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

New Hyde Park


Dec. 2: About 10mg of Bystolic was reported stolen from a location on Jericho Turnpike between 9 a.m. on Oct. 29 and 4 p.m. on Dec. 2.
Dec. 3: 
A storefront window on Hillside Avenue in North New Hyde Park was found damaged at 1:30 p.m.
Dec. 3: A person was arrested on the corner of South Sixth Street and First Street at 5:10 p.m. after being found in possession of a glass container of marijuana and one oxycodone pill.
Dec. 4: A black wallet containing an ID, credit card and a cell phone were reported stolen at the LA Fitness at 1111 Marcus Ave. between 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
Dec. 4: A white metal bracelet with a clear stone was stolen from Sears at 1400 Union Turnpike at 2:56 p.m.
Dec. 6: A door and a clothing drop-bin on Union Turnpike were found damaged at 9:15 a.m.
Dec. 9: Sterling silver earrings were stolen from Sears at 14000 Union Turnpike at 2:16 p.m.
Dec. 9: A number of men's shirts were stolen from Sears at 14000 Union Turnpike at 5:13 p.m.
