Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Honored at 2013 EMS Awards
Mineola volunteers receive four honorable mentions at annual awards ceremony.
The Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps. was recently honored with several nominations at the 2013 Nassau Regional EMS Council Awards.
The members of the volunteer corps. were nominated by Chief Christopher Taylor.
Mineola received the following citations at the awards:
EMS Agency of the Year – honorable mention
Basic Life Support Provider of the Year – Kevin O'Donnell, honorable mention
EMS Leadership Award – Donald Franz, honorable mention
Communications Specialist of the Year – Neil Velasco, honorable mention

EMS Agency of the Year – Long Beach Fire Department
Advanced Life Support Provider of the Year – Robert J. Spear, NCPD EAB
Basic Life Support Provider of the Year – Jeremy Feintuch, Joshua Feintuch, Great Neck Vigilent Engine & Hook & Ladder Co., Inc.
EMS Leadership Award – Gary Ferrucci, Nassau County EMS Academy
EMS Educator of Excellence – Kevin Rummel, North Shore-LIJ Health Systems
Physician of Excellence – Josh S. Kugler, MD, Oceanside Fire Department
Registered Professional Nurse of Excellence – Ann DeSimone, RN, Nassau County Department of Health
