Mineola Walgreens Robbed of Cash, Postage Stamps

Police say man threatened woman on Wednesday night.

Nassau County Police are investigating a reported robbery at the Walgreens in Mineola on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.

According to detectives, a 28-year old female employee while working at Walgreens located at 1 Jericho Turnpike, was approached by a male Hispanic who told the victim to touch his pants, where he held what she believed to be a handgun.

The suspect produced a demand note and told the victim to open the manager’s office. The victim complied giving the suspect access to the safe where he removed an undisclosed amount of cash along with $3,000 to $4,000 worth of USPS Postal Stamps.

The suspect is described as 5 foot 6 foot tall, 150 pounds with a thin mustache wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and a black baseball cap with white fields on the side. He fled on foot southbound on Roslyn Road. There were three employees and no customers in the store at the time of the Robbery. No injuries were reported.
