Plainview Firefighters Battle Old Bethpage House Fire

Blaze erupts in private home on Adrienne Drive Saturday.

Plainview firefighters were called to battle a raging house fire Saturday night in Old Bethpage.

The fire erupted at 27 Adrienne Drive about 7:30 p.m. Saturday. When firefighters arrived the flames were visible through the roof of the structure.

Firefighters from Bethpage, Farmingdale and Hicksville were also called to the scene to assist.

Plainview firefighters have responded to more than 500 calls since Hurricane Sandy left much of Plainview without power and cluttered with dangerous live wires and downed trees.

I think that Julie's thoughts are very well taken. Perhaps Patch could organize a relief fund for those folks. I for on would be happy to join with Julie in making a donation! I also second Julie's nice words about Joe and Patch -- good jub!

The man who lives here, lives alone. His name is Bob. Everything inside was destroyed. I live in the house behind him on Mahan. We were present at the scene.
