Stop 24 Convenience Store Robbed Tuesday

Armed men reportedly rob Mineola convenience store.

The Stop 24 Grocery convenience store was robbed Tuesday afternoon at gunpoint by two men who reportedly made off with $2,500 in cash, Nassau County Police said.

According to detectives, the male victim 44, while working at Stop 24 grocery located at 124 E. Jericho Turnpike at 3:40 p.m., was approached by two unknown males, dressed in black hooded sweatshirts and black ski masks.

The subjects threatened to shoot the victim while forcing him to open the register. There was no weapon seen.

The robbers were described as two white or Hispanic males in their thirties wearing ski masks and brandishing dark-colored handguns.

Both subjects fled on foot out the front door towards the rear of the building with an unknown amount of U.S. Currency. There were no injuries reported.

Four Nassau County police cruisers responded to the scene as well as a police SUV.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
