The panel will feature Town of Islip Supervisor Phil Nolan, Paul V. Pontieri Jr., Mayor of the Village of Patchogue; Michael White, Executive Director of the Long Island Regional Planning Council; Robert J. Coughlin, Principal of Tritec Real Estate Company and Chris Capece, Development Director of AvalonBay Communities. Former County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi, currently Of Counsel to Harris Beach and Senior Advisor to Lazard, will moderate the program.

"Responsible development, especially during these difficult economic times, will require public officials and private sector developers to work together to actively encourage smart growth that will not only expand our tax base, but improve our quality of life. That's the only way we will make Long Island a national model for "New Suburbia,'"said Suozzi.
