Nassau County Board of Elections Introduces New Voting Machines at Roosevelt Field Mall

New voting machines will be on display and ready for shoppers to try through September 13.  Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

This fall will see the beginning of a new voting system throughout New York State. In preparation for the 2010 September 14 Primary and the November 2 General Elections, the Nassau County Board of Elections, in cooperation with the Nassau County League of Women Voters will demonstrate the new optical scan voting machines at Roosevelt Field shopping mall.  Also, the Board is introducing the AutoMARK ballot marking device for people with disabilities and for non-English speaking voters. 

The public will be given an opportunity to try the new voting machines that will be set-up in front of Macy's department store.
