Free ID Card Program for Seniors Tuesday in Mineola

Program open to Nassau seniors age 60-plus from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Nassau County senior citizens will be able to obtain a free Senior I.D. Card Program on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

The free card event, which is being sponsored by NY Sen. Jack M. Martins and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano, will be held at the Mineola Community Center at 155 Washington Ave., Mineola NY, located between Willis Avenue and Mineola Boulevard from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Nassau County residents ages 60 and over are eligible to participate and receive a free senior I.D. card.

The wallet-sized senior I.D. card includes a photo and the holder's personal data, physician's contact information, and emergency contact phone numbers which could be useful to paramedics in a medical emergency. Allergies and other vital information can also be printed on the card.

There is no fee for the card.
