Mineola Completes Major Cleanup Efforts After Hurricane Sandy

Leaf removal and street sweeping to begin shortly.

All major public cleanup efforts in the Village of Mineola are complete according to an e-mail blast sent out by village officials.

The e-mail states that trees have been removed from streets and homes, debris has been cleared, and the village has begun secondary cleanup efforts. Leaf removal and street sweeping will also commence shortly.

Street repairs and other infrastructure repairs will be addressed as post-emergency operations allow.

Although the village hall has been closed since Monday, phones have been staffed throughout and since the storm.

Phones will continue to be staffed 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday regardless of whether village hall is open.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
