Mineola Firefighter Honored at Hempstead Firematic Awards

Ex-Captain Joseph Tartaglia, Jr. recognized by town for exemplary service.

An ex-captain of the Mineola Fire Department was among those honored by the Town of Hempstead at the Firematic Awards Thursday night.

Ex-Captain Joseph Tartaglia, Jr. received this honor.

“Tonight, I am proud to stand among a group of Hempstead Town’s bravest as we salute the courageous and caring individuals who volunteer their time and efforts to protect our communities,” Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray said. “No matter the time of day, or the conditions presented to them, these brave men and women are at the ready, even at the most harrowing moments, to care for their fellow citizens.”

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
