Nicolello Sworn in for Ninth Term on County Legislature

Nassau County , R-New Hyde Park, was sworn in for his ninth term this past Monday by Hempstead Senior Town Councilman Anthony Santino at the in Mineola.

In the 2011 election, Nicolello Democratic  7,143-2,633.

Nicolello has held the position as the representative for the ninth legislative district since the legislature’s inception in 1996.

This term, Nicolello will again serve as chairman of the finance committee as well as vice chairman of the committee on economic development and labor, as well as a member of the budget review and towns and villages committees.

“I thank the residents of the ninth legislative district for the great honor and privilege of serving as their legislator,” Nicolello said in a statement. “The next 2 years will be a time of great challenges for Nassau County. I will continue to work to hold the line on taxes and to make the changes in county government that the people are demanding.”
