Inauguration Ceremony Set For Jan. 5 in North Hempstead
Bosworth to begin first term as supervisor.
The inauguration ceremony for five newly-elected Town of North Hempstead's officials will take place Jan. 5.
The event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at Clinton G. Martin Park in New Hyde Park.
Supervisor-elect Judi Bosworth will be sworn-in to her first two-year term by New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli. The Great Neck native defeated Councilwoman Dina De Giorgio for the seat vacated in October by 10-year Supervisor Jon Kaiman.
Nassau County Leg. Wayne Wink will take the oath as town clerk after serving six years as a legislator in Nassau County's 11th District. Wink unseated longtime Town Clerk Leslie Gross in the November election.
Current Councilmembers Viviana Russell, Angelo Ferrara and Lee Seeman will also be sworn in. They will be serving their 2nd, 5th and 3rd terms respectively.
