Regular Mineola Garbage Pickup to Resume After Hurricane Sandy

Normal collection schedule to continue on November 5.

The Mineola Village Sanitation Department concluded emergency garbage collections on Wednesday, October 31 and began making regular collections on Thursday, November 1.

Trash collection has been suspended through October 31 due to Hurricane Sandy.

Regular garbage route collections will continue on Monday, November 5.

In an e-mail sent out by village officials, residents are advised to observe normal garbage regulations and to please place only the appropriate collections to the curb on your regular days.

Sanitation customers are also reminded that garbage, papers, and recycling should only be placed on the curb the day of pick-up and not left out over the weekend.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
