Sen. Martins Addresses Long Island’s Brain Drain
New York state senator speaks about efforts to keep youth on Long Island and in Mineola.
Just before being sworn into office as the representative for New York’s 7th Senatorial District, the Mienola Patch interviewed , R-Mineola, about the issue of brain drain on Long Island.
Since this interview was conducted in January, the state legislature passed a and Martins held a hearing entitled “The True Path to Reducing New York’s Real Property Tax Burden: Mandate Relief and Tax Caps” on Feb. 17 where local leaders discussed concerns over the impact of the tax cap.
