In his final State of the City address, Mayor Michael Bloomberg proposed a citywide ban on plastic-foam food packaging, which environmentalists have derided for years.
If it's good for the City, why not Mineola? So much of the Village is driven by eateries and the dining experience, which means so much waste in the form of takeout containers. It's within the power of the Village of Mineola and Town of North Hempstead to legislate.
