Mineola village offices will be closed on Monday, Nov., 12, 2012 in observance of Veterans Day.
The holiday collection schedule for this week is as follows:
- If your normal collection days are Monday and Thursday, your garbage will be collected on Tuesday and Thursday.
- If your normal collection days are Tuesday and Friday, your garbage will be collected on Wednesday and Friday.
- Recycling, rubbish and newspaper collection will remain unchanged. Compost collect will be on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 this week.
In addition, village crews were finishing Hurricane Sandy clean-up when Wednesday’s Nor’easter hit.
Crews are still in the process of clearing snow and additional storm debris from the Nor’easter which dumped snow instead of rain as predicted.
Crews will continue post-storm clean-up and repairs until completed.
