Chaminade, Mineola Schools Closed Due to Hurricane Sandy

School buildings closed Monday due to threat of storm.

Students from both the Mineola School District and Chaminade High School will have a 3-day weekend after the looming threat of Hurricane Sandy shuttered the buildings for Monday, October 29.

The closings were announced on the Chaminade school website around 2 p.m. Sunday and on the Mineola District website later that day.

Meanwhile, as the Mineola prepares for the impact of the hurricane, the MTA announced that it will shut down its entire system beginning Sunday night.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
