Cross Street Students Host Native American Dance Workshop

Thunderbird American Indian Dances share Native American culture with Cross Street students.

recently hosted a cultural arts program and workshop for students.

Students in grades one through five had the opportunity to witness a presentation by Thunderbird American Indian Dances, which explores the Native American culture through dance.

Prior to the presentation, fourth-grade students received a special hands-on workshop during which they were taught specific Native American dances such as the "Grass Dance."

This workshop was given as part of a Native American Study in the fourth-grade curriculum. The entire program was funded through the Cross Street PTA's Cultural Arts Program.
