So many people have been touched by breast cancer. In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Winthrop-University Hospital’s Breast Health Center is pleased to announce that it will hold two empowering events during the first week of October for anyone who is concerned about breast health, or living with and/or caring for someone with breast cancer.
A Breast Health Fair will be held on Monday, October 3, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Winthrop Community Outreach Center. This event will include a wide variety of information presented in an uplifting format on topics such as mammograms, breast self-examinations and wellness options including yoga and meditation, healthful meals, make-up and wigs. Information about resources available at Winthrop’s Breast Health Center and in the community will also be shared.
