Family & Children’s Association Sponsoring Back-to-School Drive
Mineola non-profit seeking clothing and calculators as part of back-to-school drive.
Mineola-based Family & Children’s Association will be accepting donations of new back-to-school supplies and clothing.
The human services agency’s annual back-to-school drive helps financially struggling Nassau County families make ends meet and prepare area children for a successful school year.
This year, the agency is asking for donations of sneakers, sweatshirts and jeans along with the pencils, backpacks and notebooks be delivered to their Mineola office at:

In a statement, Joyce Mullen, Family & Children’s Communications Director Joyce Mullen said that the agency is seeking extra notebooks, sneakers, markers or calculators.
This is the second year the agency is asking for clothing besides the usual school supply shopping list.
“This is a concrete way to make a difference in our area,” Mullen said.
The drive continues through October 15.
