Hampton Street School Library Receives Award

Alphabet design takes second place in interior finishes category.

The alphabet structure hanging from the ceiling of the new library at the Hampton Street School in the Mineola Union Free School District has received national recognition.

The design was submitted by the district-hired architects H2M and placed second nationally in the Interior Finishes category of the 7th Annual People’s Choice Installation Contest hosted by 3form.

3form is a socially responsible company that prides itself on making sustainable and eco-friendly design products.

For its winning work, the district will receive a $300 credit to be used on 3form Reclaim recycled products.

The credit will likely be used to purchase items for the district’s Meadow Drive Library project.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
